Hi! My name is Debbie and I am BabyFit.
I fell in love with exercise, fitness and movement in my teens, but my passion was truly ignited when I qualified as a fitness instructor back in 2005.
My journey into specialising in pregnancy and post birth initially started after my eldest daughter was born. Having experienced multiple miscarriages and loss beforehand, I spent her pregnancy doing nothing, and my goodness did I feel it! From excess weight gain, poor mental wellbeing, to the length of time it took me to recover.
I was determined to do it differently next time and so when pregnant with my youngest daughter, I gained my first pre/postnatal qualification. I went on to exercise all the way through her pregnancy and it was a much happier and wholesome experience. However what I did find out on this journey was that the women’s health symptoms I had been dealing with were not normal ‘because I’d had a baby’. This took me on a much deeper dive into the physical, physiological and psychological changes that happen on the journey from pregnancy to parenthood.
I believe in the power of nurture and support through every stage of motherhood. From the first positive pregnancy test and exciting flutters of pregnancy, all the way into and through the profound journey of motherhood. My mission is to stand by you, offering guided sessions that have been specifically designed to support you on this personal and individual physical transformation. BabyFit offers more than just weekly classes; it’s a community where every new and expecting mother can find her strength, balance, and peace of mind.

What I Do

January 28, 2025My daughter is 8 now but i still remember Debbie’s kind words, advice and fitness/strength training in those tough first few months of motherhood. I still do many of the exercises she showed me and highly recommend her to new mums or mums to be 🙏🏻

February 28, 2025I loved Debbie’s classes after having my second baby, I was struggling emotionally with sleep deprivation and losing my mum. The classes were really holistic and encompassing of all elements of post natal wellbeing, not just fitness. I still make the easy tomato soup sometimes that was part of some weekly nutrition tips!

I am so glad i came across Debbies pregnancy aquafit and yoga classes. They have been without a doubt the best thing i have done for my pregnancy. I literally want to stay pregnant so i can carry on with the aquafit classes! I feel sad that next week will be my last one, i will really miss it as I love it so much. It helped my mental health no end, not to mention my physical health. It was very uplifting and i look forward to it each week. Debbie is an amazing person and so passionate about what she does. Highly recommend to any pregnant woman.

April 28, 2024I cannot say enough positive things about Debbie's classes! I have done all of her different pregnancy/baby classes over my 3 pregnancies and the knowledge, support and confidence I have had from her has made such a huge difference to my parenting journey, especially during pregnancy and birth. The phrase 'above and beyond' could have invented for Debbie. Her knowledge is incredible and she is both willing and able to give advice on just about anything you can think of to do with birth, parenting or fitness, and is always happy to answer extra questions, reply to messages or just be a listening ear. Her classes aren't just a yoga or exercise class. They are basically exercise, birth prep and a support group all rolled into one, especially her yoga classes. I have nothing bad to say about Babyfit, it is incredible and I wish every expectant mother was able to benefit from it!

January 28, 2025I don't know if I can even start to explain how valuable this course has been to me as a mum to be (although there are several second time mums that attended too) but I'll try... I chose to attend the early and late pregnancy yoga course and repeat both courses, each course is six weeks, so I attended for 24 weeks. In this time I learnt some of the most important information in my pregnancy journey. The start of each session provided the opportunity to talk about how our week had been, Debbie always had a knowledgeable and reassuring word for each of us as we spoke about both good and bad days of our week, giving us honest tips and information to support us through that particular point of our pregnancy. Debbie has So much education behind her so her support and suggestions always made me feel relaxed and educated. The sessions helped me keep moving though my pregnancy right up until the last moment! It helped keep me mobile and also provided the opportunity to not only relax but increase my confidence and self belief that I can birth my baby with all the information at hand, reminding me that I have son much choice. I also made friends there too. The positions and exercises are created to help you to move in the early stages of birthing and also beyond into fourth trimester, they are not always easy but that felt good! I loved knowing that I was doing something amazing for my baby and I. I honestly feel that Debbie and these sessions helped instill calmness and confidence throughout my pregnancy. I would highly recommend attending these classes! Thanks Debbie for all of your support and guidance!

I’ll forever be greatful to Debbie! I saw Debbie for Pregnancy Yoga and Aqua Fit! Not only did these classes help me prepare for the birth, but Debbie’s knowledge and kind manner shined through in every class! I also made a group of solid friends at the time we needed each other most (Covid) During labour I thought of Debbie, and all the ways she taught me to stay calm and in control. To listen to my body and not be lead by anyone else! Thank you Debbie for everything! Highly recommend to anyone looking for that person who can help guide you through the most wonderful and worrying time of your life! X

January 28, 2025I have done Debbie’s pregnancy yoga, baby yoga, birth preparation workshop and pregnancy buoyancy bumpfit. Debbie is an extremely knowledgable personal trainer with a specific interest in pregnancy, postnatal and women’s health. She has so much knowledge and I recommend her classes to anyone who is pregnant - you will not regret it. Her classes kept me fit and mobile during my pregnancies and her knowledge is ultimately why I had a home birth, which was such a positive experience compared to my first hospital birth. I would not have had the courage to do this without her support and knowledge. If you’re thinking of trying a class - don’t think twice just do it, you won’t regret it!

January 28, 2025I attended Debbie's pregnancy yoga classes and it helped me enormously - my crippling sciatica was fixed through her exercise routine, and I strongly believe her advice about movement to prepare and during birth helped me to birth quicker and be more confident in the delivery room. Strongly recommend even if you've never been to yoga before.
