Hi! My name is Debbie and I am BabyFit.
I fell in love with exercise, fitness and movement in my teens, but my passion was truly ignited when I qualified as a fitness instructor back in 2005.
My journey into specialising in pregnancy and post birth initially started after my eldest daughter was born. Having experienced multiple miscarriages and loss beforehand, I spent her pregnancy doing nothing, and my goodness did I feel it! From excess weight gain, poor mental wellbeing, to the length of time it took me to recover.
I was determined to do it differently next time and so when pregnant with my youngest daughter, I gained my first pre/postnatal qualification. I went on to exercise all the way through her pregnancy and it was a much happier and wholesome experience. However what I did find out on this journey was that the women’s health symptoms I had been dealing with were not normal ‘because I’d had a baby’. This took me on a much deeper dive into the physical, physiological and psychological changes that happen on the journey from pregnancy to parenthood.
I believe in the power of nurture and support through every stage of motherhood. From the first positive pregnancy test and exciting flutters of pregnancy, all the way into and through the profound journey of motherhood. My mission is to stand by you, offering guided sessions that have been specifically designed to support you on this personal and individual physical transformation. BabyFit offers more than just weekly classes; it’s a community where every new and expecting mother can find her strength, balance, and peace of mind.

My aim is to provide a sanctuary where you are able to connect with your body and baby on a deeper level, enabling you to walk tall and confidently as you make choices and decisions to do it your way.

Debbie is so knowledgeable, I love how informative and supportive her classes are. I attended two different classes with Debbie, both immediately after having my son (with other mums and babies) and then afterwards when I attended bootcamp to get fitter myself. Highly recommended.

Not only did these classes help me prepare for the birth, but Debbie’s knowledge and kind manner shined through in every class! I also made a group of solid friends at the time we needed each other most (Covid) During labour I thought of Debbie, and all the ways she taught me to stay calm and in control. To listen to my body and not be lead by anyone else! Thank you Debbie for everything! January 28, 2025The best baby bump class in Norwich. The slow relaxing yet beneficial movements we were told to do were essential to birthing my baby. Very knowledgeable and calming instructor, Debbie is super personable and easy to talk to. The class helped me massively and I took the steps and info I learned in class right from birth and way beyond! Highly recommend.

Debbie's classes are incredible, and I really believe they made a huge difference to my birthing experience and ability to be active right up until labour! Debbie equips you with knowledge for pregnancy and postpartum, helps works on common areas of trouble during both (and remembers any individuals with problems in certain areas, and modifies the moves if needed for them), and brings such fun and warmth to the classes. I really miss them already, and am hoping to join her baby yoga classes one day soon. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone pregnant or postpartum!

It's a great chance to get prepared for birth, chat to people in similar situations and look after your body and mind. Debbie really helps to boosts confidence and get you back! Not only that, I made some amazing friends.

I attended Debbie's pregnancy yoga classes and it helped me enormously - my crippling sciatica was fixed through her exercise routine, and I strongly believe her advice about movement to prepare and during birth helped me to birth quicker and be more confident in the delivery room. Strongly recommend even if you've never been to yoga before.

January 28, 2025I am so glad i came across Debbies pregnancy aquafit and yoga classes. They have been without a doubt the best thing i have done for my pregnancy. I literally want to stay pregnant so i can carry on with the aquafit classes! I feel sad that next week will be my last one, i will really miss it as I love it so much. It helped my mental health no end, not to mention my physical health. It was very uplifting and i look forward to it each week. Debbie is an amazing person and so passionate about what she does. Highly recommend to any pregnant woman.
