About Me

Hi! My name is Debbie and I am BabyFit.
I fell in love with exercise, fitness and movement in my teens, but my passion was truly ignited when I qualified as a fitness instructor back in 2005.
My journey into specialising in pregnancy and post birth initially started after my eldest daughter was born. Having experienced multiple miscarriages and loss beforehand, I spent her pregnancy doing nothing, and my goodness did I feel it! From excess weight gain, poor mental wellbeing, to the length of time it took me to recover.
I was determined to do it differently next time and so when pregnant with my youngest daughter, I gained my first pre/postnatal qualification. I went on to exercise all the way through her pregnancy and it was a much happier and wholesome experience. However what I did find out on this journey was that the women’s health symptoms I had been dealing with were not normal ‘because I’d had a baby’. This took me on a much deeper dive into the physical, physiological and psychological changes that happen on the journey from pregnancy to parenthood.

I believe in the power of nurture and support through every stage of motherhood. From the first positive pregnancy test and exciting flutters of pregnancy, all the way into and through the profound journey of motherhood. My mission is to stand by you, offering guided sessions that have been specifically designed to support you on this personal and individual physical transformation. BabyFit offers more than just weekly classes; it’s a community where every new and expecting mother can find her strength, balance, and peace of mind.

What I Do

BabyFit offers something unique and special, encapsulating all areas of movement to ensure your body is the best it can be throughout this personally unique and special journey of pregnancy to parenthood. My aim is to provide a sanctuary where you are able to connect with your body and baby on a deeper level, enabling you to walk tall and confidently as you make choices and decisions to do it your way.
Whether you’re looking for the strength to meet the demands of motherhood, the calm in the beautiful storm of raising a baby or a moment to connect with other mothers, BabyFit is here to welcome you with open arms.

  • I wish I’d found Debbie in my first pregnancy. I attended Buoyancy BumpFit and Pregnancy Yoga in my second pregnancy and loved both of these and know they helped me to birth my second daughter physiologically and with minimal intervention both during pregnancy and labour. Debbie is an advocate for pregnant women and is so supportive of those wanting to maintain physical activity throughout. Her passion shines through and she clearly loves her job and cares for the women she works with. Not only did she encourage me to complete a 10km event, she joined me and supported me for every step!     I have done Debbie’s pregnancy yoga, baby yoga, birth preparation workshop and pregnancy buoyancy bumpfit. Debbie is an extremely knowledgable personal trainer with a specific interest in pregnancy, postnatal and women’s health. She has so much knowledge and I recommend her classes to anyone who is pregnant - you will not regret it. Her classes kept me fit and mobile during my pregnancies and her knowledge is ultimately why I had a home birth, which was such a positive experience compared to my first hospital birth. I would not have had the courage to do this without her support and knowledge. If you’re thinking of trying a class - don’t think twice just do it, you won’t regret it!

  • I attended Babyfit pre and postnatally. Debbie is hugely knowledgeable on all things pregnancy, postnatal and beyond in relation to women's health so you're I great hands. It's a great chance to get prepared for birth, chat to people in similar situations and look after your body and mind. Debbie really helps to boosts confidence and get you back! Not only that, I made some amazing friends.

    I can not recommend Debbie and Babyfit enough. I attended pregnancy yoga from 3 months, learnt so much, enjoyed every second and made friends for life. I recommend Babyfit to everyone I know who becomes pregnant.

    Debbie is so knowledgeable, I love how informative and supportive her classes are. I attended two different classes with Debbie, both immediately after having my son (with other mums and babies) and then afterwards when I attended bootcamp to get fitter myself. Highly recommended.

    Debbie reassured and supported me in pregnancy as I navigated continuing to exercise in pregnancy. She is highly knowledgeable, supportive and kind. I loved attending her pregnancy yoga class - it helped me learn stretches to support my pelvis and optimise baby’s position for birth. If you’re looking for support to continue exercising in pregnancy in the way that works for you or for support with pregnancy aches and pains and keeping mobile with yoga I couldn’t recommend Debbie more highly 🧡
